About MPS 

Thank you for visiting MPS! My name is Chelsea Kessler, and I am the founder and CEO of Motorsport Production Services. I have grown up in the motorsport world. Motorsport Entertainment has always been a family business that. John Borba started in the industry during the 1970’s, and I have been involved in one way or another my entire life. I am a military widow and mother of two. My husband was a SSG in the US Army when he suddenly passed away in 2015. My children and I moved back to California, and I accepted the position as CEO with our family company, WGAS Motorsports.

In 2020 John & Sharlene decided it was time to retire and MPS was born. MPS has been working with WGAS Motorsports over the last two years to seamlessly transition all operations over to MPS. With the help of Eric Brown, our Competition Director, and the amazing team we have put together, MPS growing quickly, putting our stamp on the motorsport world.

We work with some of the best competitors in the business and strive to be the gold standard in motorsports. We continue to have great relationships with several of the top Monster Truck teams in the country such as Bob Chandler and Bob & Ann Trent, owners of Bigfoot; The World Champion Jimmy Creten and his wife Dawn Creten, owners of Bounty Hunter & Scarlet Bandit; and Tony Canedo, owner of Playing for Keeps, Enforcer & Survivor. As well as professional Freestyle Motocross Riders such as Jimmy Fitzpatrick of Fitz Army & Metal Mulisha and Jered LaRue.

MPS is one of the largest promotors of demolition derbies in California, Oregon, and Washington. We have been collaborating with drivers and techs to keep the competition fair, pay-outs honest, and just racing – no politics!

MPS produces the two largest Tuff Truck races on the West Coast. The San Diego County Fair’s Tuff Truck & Beach Buggy race has been a tradition in Del Mar for over 25 years and brings out some of the biggest names in off road racing such as Robbie Gordon and Perry McNeil, Sr. and the entire McNeil family. The Clark County Fair’s “King of the North” Tuff Truck race in Ridgefield, WA is famous across the county with hundreds of videos of social media with over a million views!

We make sure to hold MPS to the highest safety standards. MPS carries a $5 Million Liability Insurance Policy, requires there to always be EMTs on site during the entire event, all track crew is uniformed, radio equipped, and always have a fire bottle with them. All monster trucks are required to have current MTA safety equipment, including RIIs (Remote Ignition Interrupter-this is a handheld radio that we can use to shut the monster truck off if needed), driveline loops and wheel tethers.
